Every change and fix in Hamdam 1.1
Hamdam 1.1 brings Hamdam closer to your own sky, with a full calendar in Roots, Hamdam on your wrist and on iPad. Here is everything that changed, area by area.
Today
- Today now opens onto a place you are connected to, at the right hour, in the weather that is actually outside.
- The sky is drawn live: clouds drift, rain and snow fall in depth, and lightning carries through a storm.
- Reduce Motion and Low Power Mode settle the sky into a single still frame.
- 3D weather, with rain, snow and storms that now truly appear.
- Wind is now a weather of its own.
- A gentle nudge after each reflection, drawn from how your day actually went.
Roots and the calendar
- A full calendar in Roots: day, week, month and year.
- Search across your events, your reflections and cultural moments.
- Create, edit and delete your own Hamdam events, and jump to any date.
- In Farsi, months and years follow the Solar Hijri calendar, and Iran's public holidays are included.
- Roots follows your own heritage, with the moments, symbols and photographs that belong to where you are from.
- Several moments, among them Yalda, Norooz and Anzac Day, now open into real depth instead of a placeholder.
- The lives of the five poets are free for everyone.
- You can tell Roots where you live yourself, without a surprise location prompt.
Faal
- The Faal is now a book you open: press and hold while you keep your question in mind.
- The answer arrives on an illuminated page, the couplet set in true nastaliq.
Apple Watch
- Your sky, your inner weather, Your Journey and Roots on Apple Watch.
- Write a reflection from your wrist, and it arrives on your iPhone.
iPad
- Hamdam on iPad at full width, with a sidebar for every tab.
Sound
- A struck santur phrase under the wordmark when Hamdam opens.
- It respects your ring and silent switch, and stays quiet when something else is already playing.
- You can turn it off in Settings, under Content.
Settings, Siri and notifications
- Settings reorganised, so each thing sits where you would look for it.
- Ask Siri about your inner weather and the next moment in Roots.
- Carry a reflection between your devices.
- Calmer notifications.
Fixes
- Moods saved without a verse, from your wrist or a quick note, now count towards your inner weather.
- Your inner weather counts the days you reflected, not the days that passed.
- Cultural symbols no longer lose their photograph after a single dropped connection.
- Severe weather no longer shows as simply cloudy.
- Farsi wording and spelling corrected throughout.
