Every change and fix in Hamdam 1.4
Hamdam 1.4 brings games to the Garden, and a calmer Today. Here is everything that changed, area by area.
Games
- Four games have come to the Garden, on one Games page: Riddle, Backgammon, Hokm and, for readers with a Persian connection, Mosha'ereh.
- Three plays a day are free; Hamdam Plus has no counter.
- Play alone, pass one phone around a table, or play through Game Center.
- Leaderboards, achievements and challenges arrive through Game Center, and Hamdam collects nothing of its own.
- Accepting a Game Center invitation opens its game.
- Tapping a notification that it is your turn opens the game that is waiting for you.
- Sound effects and haptics, each with its own switch in the games settings.
- Nothing is at stake in any of them: no clock you are racing, and no currency.
Games: Riddle
- The riddle you already had, now with a board for the day and a challenge you can send to a friend.
- Riddle now lives on the Games page, beside the other games.
Games: Takhte Nard
- Backgammon on a warm board, with dice neither side can bend.
- A hit is a moment of its own, with a gold flash and a tap you can feel.
- You can undo a move, and the game asks before you concede.
Games: Hokm
- Four seats and two teams, against the app or against three people in the same moment.
- A Persian deck with Shah, Bibi and Sarbaz on the court cards, and a fan of cards you drag to the trick.
Games: Mosha'ereh
- Answer a verse with a verse, alone or with a friend.
- Set how long each turn lasts in the games settings, or play without a clock.
Faal
- Ask Hafez a question and the answer now comes from across the whole Divan, rather than from one corner of it.
Today
- Today is calmer: the reflection you have already written is no longer shouted about all day.
- The door to the faal carries its name.
- The Persian date is back under the greeting.
- Today no longer opens on a permission request; the greeting comes first.
- On a seasonal day the header keeps to one short line under the greeting, so the button below it is never pushed into the tab bar.
Reflections
- Your reflections stop returning the same thought twice in a week.
- The Farsi reflections now read as natural Persian rather than a translation.
Garden and coaches
- The coaches notice which suggestion you never take, and bring a different one.
- Each coach now shows its own week, and names what you actually did, such as breathing or settling.
- The coaches' weekly page says what it is for, in clearer words in both languages.
- The habits card in the Garden now takes you to your bed of habits, not to a coach.
- Today's pick in the Garden looks further before it recommends anything.
Hamdam Plus
- The Plus page now speaks about keeping your history, not about removing a limit.
- On the free plan with thirty days of history, you see thirty days of your inner weather once, before it settles back to fourteen.
