Every change and fix in Hamdam 2.0.1
Hamdam 2.0.1 is a short release, two days after 2.0: the poets for anyone who wants them, small touches from a Farsi review, and fixes.
The poets, for everyone
- If you have no Persian connection, you can now choose a daily verse from Rumi, Hafez, Saadi, Khayyam and Parvin Etesami, in English translation.
- It stays off unless you turn it on: Hamdam asks once when you set up, and the switch is in Settings, under About You.
- It brings the verse only, on Today, in your daily notification and on the verse widget, always in English, with no Farsi script and no Faal.
- Your first verse from the poets comes with a short introduction, and your choice comes back after a reinstall.
Reflections and your mood
- The mood scale names its two ends, Heavy and Light, the same way round as Your Journey.
- What's on your mind? now offers A challenge and Standing in place of Money.
- What lifts you has a clearer caption, says so when two things tie, and links to your last verse.
- In Farsi, a reflection is now called derang, a Persian word, everywhere in the app, in place of the Arabic ta'ammol.
Roots
- Roots now shows your own answers under Where are you from and Where do you live.
- Your homeland comes first, before Mehregan and the other moments.
Garden and Kiosk
- Each coach says in one line what it is for, so Spirit and Mind are easy to tell apart.
- An optional Economy section in the Kiosk gathers economy headlines from your own papers. It stays off until you turn it on from the Kiosk menu.
Home Screen
- Press and hold the app icon for quick actions to Today, Reflections, Roots and the Garden.
- Two new seasonal app icons, for Chaharshanbe Suri and Sizdah Bedar.
Fixes
- The top poet card in Your Journey no longer switches between two poets.
- Anyone who has not chosen the poets no longer meets a poet's name anywhere: not in Today's whisper, the evening recap, saved reflections, Your Journey, a shared reflection or Siri's verse of the day.
- The Mind coach's card no longer mentions poems and the Faal to readers without a Persian connection.
- Readers who chose English no longer see Farsi script on the verse widget.
- The What lifts you card no longer shows a raw label in place of windy weather.
