When Hamdam suggests an invitation

Hamdam may suggest inviting someone at three moments: after you add a living person to Roots, after you record an elder's answer, and on the birthday countdown on Today. It asks, for example, Invite Mum to Hamdam?

Someone you invite sees the family tree you are building, never your reflections.

Step by step

  1. When the suggestion appears, tap Invite to open the invitation, or Not now to close it.

  2. Read what they will and will not see, write your own message and send it through the share sheet.

Worth knowing

  • There is at most one suggestion a week across all three moments. Once you close it for someone, Hamdam does not ask about them again.
  • Hamdam never suggests inviting you, or someone who has died. Only the person who started the family is asked, because only they can invite.
  • Nothing is sent until you tap send yourself. Hamdam has no accounts and never asks for an email address.
