What Hamdam is, and how it is laid out
Hamdam is an app for daily reflection. For a reader who grew up with classical Persian poetry it is grounded in the poets; for everyone else, Today leads with a reflection in plain words instead. There is no account to make, no email to give and no password to remember. You open it and it is already yours.
Version 2.0 adds the people in your life. Roots is rebuilt around your family, and your family can join you from their own iCloud. They see the family. They never see a single reflection of yours.
Everything in the app sits in one of five tabs along the bottom. If you know what each one is for, you will not have to hunt for anything else in this guide.

Step by step
Today is the screen the app opens on. A greeting shaped to the hour, the date in your own calendar, and the verse of the day, or for a reader who did not grow up with the poets, a reflection of the day. Beneath it is the way in to your daily reflection and three shortcuts into the Garden.
Todayامروز
Reflections is your private journal, in four segments: Journal, Voice, Letters and Wisdom. What you have written, what you have said aloud, letters to your future self, and what your own words keep returning to.

Roots is built around the people in your life: your family by generation, a timeline of what the family has lived through, and Ask an Elder. The calendar and the cultural moments are here too, and a reader with a Persian connection also finds the poets and the Persian symbols.

The Garden is where the day gets tended: a card for right now, Hamdam Health with its three coaches named Body, Spirit and Mind, a bed of habits you plant, the Kiosk for feeds you choose, the games and today's picks.

Worth knowing
- Hamdam needs iOS 26 or newer. There is an Apple Watch app that pairs with an iPhone. In 2.0 it carries the whole verse catalogue and works out its own membership, rather than waiting for the iPhone.
- The faal is no longer in Roots. It sits in the Garden with the Mind coach, and on Today beside the reflection button, for readers who meet the poets.
- If you used Hamdam before version 1.3, the tab you knew as Discover is now the Garden. Nothing was taken away; it grew.
