Family on Today
When Roots has someone in it besides you, Today can carry one small line about your family each day: a message waiting, the time where a relative lives, a family story from this month in another year, a birthday coming, someone you have not written about for a while, or, near the end of the year and your Hamdam anniversary, your year with your family.
It speaks only of your own family and places, so it never brings a verse, a poet or a Persian occasion. When there is nothing to say, it says nothing.
Step by step
Add at least one person to Roots. Family on Today turns itself on.
On Today, tap the line under Your family to go where it points: your messages, Ask an Elder, that person's page, or your year with your family.

To turn it off, or on before you have family in Roots, open Your Hamdam, then Content, and change Family on Today. From then on your choice is the one that counts.
Worth knowing
- The line changes each day, and the same kind does not come two days running. What you see in the morning stays for the rest of the day.
- A waiting message is named by its sender only. Hamdam never shows, keeps or reads the message itself for this line, and nothing from it reaches Ask Hamdam.
- When Today is already full, the family line is the first to step aside.
