Keeping a reflection with someone
Keeping a reflection with someone, and seeing the most recent one on their page, is free. The whole timeline for each person is Hamdam Plus.
After you save a reflection, Hamdam reads it for someone in your family: their name, or a word such as Mum, Baba or Grandma when only one person in Roots is that to you. If it finds someone, a quiet offer appears: Keep this with Mum?
A kept reflection is private. It is never shared with your family, even when your family is shared, and only you can see it.
Step by step
Save a reflection that mentions someone in Roots.
Tap Keep on the offer, or close it. Closing it keeps nothing.
Open that person in Roots to find Your reflections about them, the most recent first. Tap one to read it.
To undo it, press and hold the reflection on their page and choose No longer keep with them.
Worth knowing
- When a word belongs to two people, such as two grandmothers, Hamdam does not guess. Write the name instead.
- What you keep is held in your own iCloud, so it follows you to your other devices and comes back after a reinstall. Clearing your reflections clears it too.
- Ask Hamdam finds kept reflections as well, so asking what you have written about Mum finds the one that calls her by her name.
