When something is not working

Most of what goes wrong with Hamdam is one of a few things, and each has a short answer.

Step by step

No verse on Today. If you use Hamdam in English and have not told it you were born in Iran, Afghanistan or Tajikistan, Today leads with a reflection in your own words instead of a verse, by design. Where you were born is set under Your Hamdam, then About You.

A blank verse otherwise is not an internet problem: the seven hundred verses are built into the app and work offline. Close Hamdam fully and reopen it.
A purchase not appearing. Open Your Hamdam, then Membership, tap Upgrade to Plus, and tap Restore Purchases. A restore is the fix far more often than a re-purchase.

Reminders not arriving. Check the Settings app, then Notifications, then Hamdam, and confirm Allow Notifications is on.
Settings missing after a reinstall. They come back from iCloud once it answers, which can take a moment on a slow connection. Health, calendar and Apple Music access are asked for again on purpose.
Anything else: open Your Hamdam, then Support.
