Planting a habit
Three habits can grow at once for free, and eight with Hamdam Plus. A habit you let rest does not count towards either.
The habits bed is the part of the Garden that literally grows. Each habit you plant is a small plant. Water it and it grows from seed to sprout, leaf, bud and bloom. Leave it for a quiet week and it steps back one stage, and never below a sprout once it has reached one.
Nothing in the bed ever dies, because a habit tracker that punishes you is a habit tracker you delete.
Step by step
Open the Garden and scroll to Your garden, the habit bed.

Tap Plant something. One, to begin with. Write your own, or take the suggestion the bed offers, which comes at most once a week.

Say what it is, and whose it is: Mind, Move, Sleep or Spirit.
Say when and where it happens, and what will cue it. With calendar reading on, you can also anchor it to one of today's events.
Say what will get in the way, and what you will do then. This is the part that makes it hold.
Each day you do it, open the plant and water it.
Worth knowing
- The plan for a missed day is not a formality. It is the difference between a habit that survives one bad week and one that does not.
- One skip a week keeps the plant where it is. A second skip inside seven days does not, and skips are never counted as days done.
- On a gentle day each habit offers a one minute form, and one minute counts.
- Letting a habit rest takes it out of the bed without deleting anything. It frees a place, its history is kept, and you can bring it back.
